Preface
Approved and supported by the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Construction, the 1st Architectural Biennial Beijing (ABB2004) will be held from September 20 th to October 6 th in Beijing , China .The ABB2004 is an important cultural activity meeting the need of high development of China urbanization and architectural industry. It will be one of the most important international conferences, architectural exhibitions, as well as one of the top subject exhibitions from all over the world after several series Architectural Biennial will have been hold successfully.

To meet the hold of ABB2004, enrich the meaning, attract more professional colleagues and reinforce the influence, the Organizers of ABB2004 would hold exhibition of the Master Plans of World Cities and Towns and list it as one of the theme exhibitions.

City is the people' habitation and spirit garden. City planning being as the aim of maintaining the city's public benefit and the society's fare- ware will meet the society's need and find a way to adapt the history. City planning will be part of people's life, form a harmonious habitation space ,create a orderly work of urban people and renew the city's visual images after the industrialization. We will try to find how to enhance China 's cities planning from every city's form, change, culture and the problems existing today.

The exhibition of Master Plans of World Cities and Towns aims at absorbing the successful experience of the master plans of world cities and towns, discussing a couple of current problems in Chinese cities' development. The forms involve exhibitions, forums and lectures. It will not only give the chance to architects to share their works, but also be a window to know the world for concerning citizens.

1.The above expense includes place, illumination, cleansing and ensure public security.
2. Publishing the address information in the guidebook of ABB2004 for free
3. Presenting picture and video disc concerned
4.The representative of each exhibition unit would pay RMB300 as conference materials, souvenir, the exhibition card, lunch. We also can book hotel for all participator.
5. The Organizing Committee of ABB2004 is entitled to publish and propagandize of all participating works.

Peak Forum of Urban Planning
Peak Forum of Urban Planning aims at building up a platform for all mayors conducting city planning and planners from the world, discussing what are genuine modern city and its civilization etc., communicating the success and loss of city planning and contributing to development of all sizes of cities at home.
