After the first and second Architectural Biennial Beijing were co-sponsored by PRC Ministry of Construction and Ministry of Culture in 2004 and 2006 respectively, the 3rd Architectural Biennial Beijing (ABB2008) will be held on October. 22 ~ November 6, 2008 in Beijing Design Park·751（D·park 751）. At present, the exhibition organizing work has been fully carried out. ABB2008 will include three parts: theme exhibition, youth architects and students’ works exhibition and forums.
The theme of ABB2008 will be "Ecological City / Building". The exhibition series of activities will focus on the relationship between city planning and architectural design, study the policies and ways on how to realize resources reservation and ecological harmony in the construction of Chinese cities and towns, exchange experiences of domestic and foreign city construction, as well as look forward to the 21st century's eco-city development.
ABB2008 will continue to invite domestic and foreign city planning, architecture and design, and architectural art institutions as well as relevant designers and artists to take part on the basis of assimilating the successful experiences of the two exhibitions before. Some countries will take part in the exhibition in the form of the national exhibition area. Relevant departments, institutions and enterprises can apply for exhibition, but their exhibition forms and contents must be checked by the Organizing Committee of ABB2008 for approval.
The Organizing Committee of ABB2008 will offer the exhibition areas. The fees of ABB2008 will be collected through charging exhibitors for the management of ABB2008 and the support of enterprises and institutions.
