The international designers’ volunteers are welcomed to join us to give the excellent designs for the small schools in the poor districts in China and the developing countries.

The concept of the plan for ABB-Small-School:

1. To the society, let’s kindly encourage people to care for the living and development of human beings, especially the poverty districts.
2. To the architects, realize their employ to make the buildings and nature harmony with the social responsibilities. They’d better to know what the local culture and the people are, what they are thinking about and what they like, and then design and help to build the proper houses for life, with the local materials (such as the local woods, soil, stones, etc.) and very economical ways, even they can do it by themselves with the guide of the architects. It’s also the ways to teach the architects and designers to fit the local culture and human needs, no only for their own thought in their private room.
3. To the local farmers and villagers, to give the lovely and beautiful hope of the people, special to the local children. Let’s them to realize their resources, that they turn a blind eye to, are very nice, usable and valuable. From the very beginning, the children know the simple things can be changed so nice and beautiful things by their bodies with the wisdom and creative actions.
4. To the material producer and developers, they can use their few materials and resources to help the local small school to become so lovely, such as the few things the design needs for this small school.
5. To the motif of ABB2006, we’d like to promote the common focus in the world: Resources Efficiency and Environment Friendness.

Now, the Chinese young architects echo vividly. As the information is going around, the Danish young architects, who are sent out by the Ministry of Culture and Danish Architecture Centre, resound enthusiastically. Their four groups are planning to be the international designers’ volunteers for the local small schools in the villages, at the same time when their research cooperation is going for the Danish National Gallery of Venice Biennale and ABB2006 in National Museum of China in September, with four Chinese architecture and urban plan universities in Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing and Xi’an.
