Forum: One day，8~10 speakers whose cases are outstanding among all participators in national galleries. They will have the chance to communicate their designing ideas and building experiences with 300 audiences, and their lecture will provide excellent international reference for the economic national construction and environment friendliness to a harmonious society.

Objective: To provide referential experiences for the future planning and developing of China’s 39,000 small towns. To show the scientific and cultural relationship between the society, the ecological environment, the architectural culture and human’s development during the small town’s planning and development. Then use successful cases to illustrate how to solve contradictions between the whole and the parts, cultural tradition and modern civilization, individuation of city image and rationalization of projects.

1)Designing plan of county/country/town——choose 10 of Chinese countries/counties/towns which have both distinct regional feature and cultural feature. Sending invitations to famous foreign planner, designer and planning office, tell them the planning requirements and the environment around the planning area. Invite them to come for investigation so that they can make their designing plan for the speech on the forum.

2)Reports of excellent planning and design cases of small towns and villages, communities, landscapes.

Scale: Total exhibition area of 12,000 square meters

Content: Experimental works for the resources efficiency in human’s living environment on the motif. The exhibition works are excellent cases or conceptual plan of city planning or architectural planning. The aim is to show the excellent works among the most active young architects all over today’s world. Then reflect the thought of the youth in the globalization time. It will predict the city planning and architecture’s developing direction in the 21st century.

Ways to participate:

National collages, research institutes, enterprises, groups and individuals will apply for admission as a unit, while the examinations of their qualifications and art levels will be permitted by the Organizing Committee of ABB2006.

Forums: (Dialogue topic: The experiments for resources efficiency )

1)Dialogue of the international young architects:

One day，8~10 speakers and 300 audiences. The speakers will communicate their designing ideas and building experiences on the forum.

One day，16 speakers and 300 audiences. The speakers will communicate their planning ideas and building conception on the forum.

Environment and Health——International forum of hospital planning and design( forum-4)

Background:

According to the document Accelerate the Perfection of New Country’s Health Service System issued by Chinese Developing and Reforming Committee, the install construction of country’s health service system will focus on country clinics. Meanwhile, improve the construction of county hospitals, county traditional Chinese medicine hospitals, county hospital for women and children and village’s health service. Then service net systems should be made with county health departments, country clinics and basic village health services. The aim is to change the old conditions of farmer health service system such as shabby rooms and equipment shortage, to ensure the basic equipment condition and the service ability to be raised to a high level.

Objective:

A common topic between living environment and health condition of human——the construction of hospitals and the health guarantee environment. Directed against this topic, the aim is how to provide timely and efficient international experiences for the construction of China’s new county health service system.

Content:

1)Chinese Developing and Reforming Committee and the Ministry of Health P.R. China will give a policy report of country’s health service system.

2)International famous hospital planners, architectural designers, landscape designers will introduce their excellent experiences in construction of human’ health environment.

3)Hospital architects from home and abroad will share their understandings and experiences in Chinese hospital planning, design and construction.

Objective: Chime in with “ the International Inhabitation Day” activity held by the Inhabitation Bureau U.N. in accordance with the theme “Love the Children and Respect the old” in our living environment——the common topic of high quality environment construction; to encourage the “environment friendliness” development and construction and to provide building experiences from home and abroad for the world’s living harmony.

Content: Excellent planning, designing and constructing cases for living areas and landscapes from home and abroad.

Project instruction and expert evaluation: Instruction of excellent construction projects and evaluations by international experts will be according to the following aspects: Under the “economy and culture all-in-one” world trend, how to show the architecture’s increasing importance in all processes of community project concept, planning, design, construction, marketing, management and consuming, and how to make it useful for improving the architectural industry or enterprises’ quality potential, essence and competitive strength.

Experts invitation: Contacted by the international curator of this forum and arranged by the academic committee of ABB2006.

Project collection:

1)2~4 excellent projects (schoolyards, communities, aged houses) to the motif of ABB2006 are collected by the local media, judged by the local experts and people in each provinces.
