INVITATION
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Architectural Biennial Beijing has the pleasure of inviting you to take part in the
ABB2006 to be held on September 26th to October 6th, 2006 in Beijing, China.
ABB2006 is for the first time in architectural history in China for holding such a large multi professional exhibitions
and forums co-organized jointly by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Culture P.R.China on September 26～
October 6, 2006, including one main theme exhibition, two special theme exhibitions and five forums.
The main theme of ABB2006 is “City and Architecture: Resources Efficiency and Environment Friendness”. The ABB2006
will focus the connections between urban planning and architectural design. The participants will study and discuss
the policies and solutions mainly on economy and management of resources, and environment friendness in the buildings
of city, between urban and rural construction, city and nature, exchange the experiences of rural construction, and
forecast the developments of cities in the 21st century internationally and constructively.
ABB 2006 is an Architectural Festival and Big Gathering for world architects, engineers, urban planners, landscape
architects, estate developers, students and decision makers from governmental sectors from different parts of the
world. It is a chance to meet professionals from different disciplines and to learn the latest development in
architecture and urban planning. You may also find the chance for professional exchange, cooperation or the potential
market for future development.
